Welcome to Highline West Seattle Mental Health Center

and West Seattle Psychiatric Hospital.  We are a private

non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals

and families attain satisfying lives and give back to their

communities despite having to cope with the challenges of

serious emotional and mental illnesses.  Each year we make

it possible for almost 6,000 people to receive the care

they need.

We are one of the largest mental health service providers

in King County, offering the full spectrum of services: from

crisis intervention, inpatient care for both voluntary and

involuntarily committed patients, and a rich array of

specialized outpatient services for children, families,

adults and older adults. 

We have developed several model programs to meet

particularly complicated needs.  For example, we

 provide residential treatment, domestic violence

services, effective care for those who have both

chemical dependency and mental health issues,

and tailored services for older adults living in nursing

homes to name just a few.  We provide housing in

neighborhood group homes, apartment buildings,

and individual apartments for almost 200 people.

Our organization has a history of developing pragmatic

answers to the needs for services of clients who others

may find too difficult to serve.  We take pride in our

optimism for meaningful lives and success in recovery

 from mental illness for all of our patients and clients.
